Before We Get Back — Samsara Summer

After long summer days, slower mornings and time spent away, September brings us back to familiar places and rhythms.

Back to early mornings.
Back to work.
Back to the city.
Back to the routines that shape our everyday.

Before returning to our everyday, we wanted to share a little of the places, people and moments that made our summer:

GREEK HONNEYMOON

This summer was a little different for Adri (Founder & Creative Designer). After getting married earlier this year, he and his partner headed to Greece for their honeymoon — a few days of sun, slow mornings and doing what they love most: enjoying the outdoors, good food and each other's company.

Before that, summer it's never summer without their neighbourhood, Gracia festivities, and the familiar places that make Barcelona feel like home. There was also time for a few weekends away, including Cadaqués, shared with another member of the Samsara team.

FABES CON ALMEJAS

When the Madrid heat became too much, Javi (PR Comms) headed north. His destination was Asturias, where the days were spent between green mountains, fresh air and long meals.

There was plenty of sidra, fabada and, of course, fabes con almejas (white beans with clams). But beyond the food, it was a chance to slow down, spend time outside and escape the pace of the city for a while.

A FAMILY AFFAIR, BRAZILIAN STYLE

Meanwhile, our second Javi (Footwear Designer), apparently hadn't had enough of the Cádiz heat, so he decided to take it a step further and head to Brazil. Technically it was winter in Ceará, but someone forgot to tell the weather.

He spent two weeks travelling around the state with his family, exploring Guajiru and Mundaú, discovering its endless coastlines and even venturing into the desert. A pretty good way to spend the summer, if you ask us.

BACK TO VILLAGE

Every summer, Laura (Art Direction & Graphic Designer) heads back to her village in Burgos. August means late lights, pasta for breakfast, roast lamb for lunch and wine somewhere in between.

There's also no real need to make plans — everyone somehow ends up at the same bar anyway. After a few weeks of this, September usually arrives with one thing left to do: recover.
